Hiking stick, 122 cm length

A natural “Stenz” (hiking stick) from our stick carver Hans Joachim from Schleswig-Holstein/Germany.

The autum storms in Schleswig-Holstein/Germany are widely known, because the wind of the North- and Baltic Sea blows through the countryside. In order to slow down the constant wind pressure, the Schleswig-Holsteiners have to build in particular "Knicks". On these “Knick" grow tendrils, bush and trees. Loved by birds and small  animals, “Knick" are nature conservation areas.

Young shoots are entwined by the tendril and thereby create twisted curves. These natural twisted sticks are made by Hans Joachim and processed to the finished “Stenz”.

Every stick has been known for generations of journey men on his 3 your journey. Traveling journey men wear clothes in traditional “Kluft” (guild clothing)  The guild clothing is individually made by OYSTER® manufacture, made to measure on request, worn mainly  by carpender, roofer and many more craftsmen.
